Watch ABC App on Tuesday gets major update for its iOS app. In this update app gets the chromecast and Apple TV support. Launched in 2013, Watch ABC is the network’s TV Everywhere platform that allows users to watch live and on-demand ABC content from the web, smartphones, tablets and devices such as Apple TV and Chromecast.
Not only does the Watch ABC app feature hit ABC shows like The Bachelor, Scandal, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Modern Family, and more, it also has live streaming video available in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco with a participating TV provider.
There is also a Watch ABC app available on the Apple TV if you’d rather not beam video over AirPlay. The 47.4MB update is available on the iTunes App Store, bringing the app to version 3.4.0. Of note, NPR One also added support for Google Chromecast on Tuesday.
