Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro launched with Tensor G4 SoC, pricing starts from $799

Google launches its flagship Pixel 9 series smartphones today. The Google Pixel 9 Series includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. All these Android phones are powered by an all-new Google Tensor G4 SoC and Titan M2 security co-processor. The company says it is 20% faster than the last generation.

The main highlight of the Pixel 9 series is the use of Gemini AI, mainly in the camera while taking photos (Add me feature) and editing. Along with smartphones, the company has also launched the new Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Pixel 9

The Pixel 9 is the base model of the series, it pairs with a 6.3-inch Actua display with 1080 x 2424 resolution, and the refresh rate of the display ranges from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. In optics section, Pixel 9 has a 50MP main camera +48MP secondary ultrawide camera lens at the back. For selfies and video calls, there is a 10.5MP camera lens. Cameras unit of the phone has many AI features, like Night Sight, Magic Eraser, Best Take, and many others.

The smartphone comes in two storage options, which includes 128GB, 256GB, and it pairs with 12GB RAM. Pixel 9 is powered by a 4700 mAh battery with fast wired charging and fast wireless charging support as well. In connectivity options, the Pixel 9 has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Google Cast, GPS, Dual Band GNSS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC and a USB Type-C port. Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL

Both the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL have only a minimal difference. Which include the screen size, and battery capacity. Google Pixel 9 Pro pairs with a 6.3-inch Actua display with 1280 x 2856 resolution, for smooth experience, it has refresh rate ranging from (1 – 120 Hz). Pixel 9 Pro XL model comes with a 6.8-inch Actua display with 1344 x 2992 resolution, for smooth experience, it has refresh rate ranging from (1 – 120 Hz).

The Pixel 9 Pro comes in 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB storage variants, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL also comes in a 1TB variant. The Pixel 9 Pro has 4700 mAh battery and Pixel 9 Pro XL has 5060 mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging support.
