Google Chrome OS is become more interesting as the company is now accepting Android applications that will run as if they were native. At the last year Google I/O event Google has announced Android Apps running on Chrome OS.
After launching a limited App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) back in September Now Google is expanding its beta project to allow Android apps to run on Windows, OS X, and Linux. It’s an early experiment designed primarily for developers, but anyone can now download an APK of an existing Android app and launch it on a Windows / Linux PC, Mac, or Chrome OS through ARC welder.
Considering there are hundreds of millions of Android apps currently available, Google’s App Runtime for Chrome beta has the potential to make Windows / Linux PC, Mac, or Chrome OS devices more desirable, both for consumers and enterprises.
