Walmart’s own sub-brand, Onn, is well known for its affordable Google-powered streaming devices. There were talks about an incoming high-end Google TV streaming device from Onn, and here it arrived on the Walmart shelves in Ontario, Canada. Surprisingly, there have been no formal announcement about the Onn Google TV 4K Pro in Canada, but it has been spotted by a Reddit User on the Walmart stores in Montreal and London, Ontario.
Walmart Canada didn’t even do a press release for the launch. However, the availability is now expanding to other areas, too. Unlike the previous Onn TV HD and Onn Google TV 4K, the new Pro model isn’t cheap, as they carry a price tag of CAD 79.
Over the recent times, the Onn streaming device was gaining traction in the US. Meanwhile, the recent silent launch of Onn Google TV 4K Pro in Canada is seen as increase in popularity and demand. Earlier, it was limited for only the US, as the users were unable to make it work properly even after importing it to other countries.
With launch in Canada, the availability may expand across other regions too.
