Chromecast supports screen mirroring from Android devices

chromecast-android-mirroringNow Developer are adding new features to chromecast as now chromecast starts screen mirroring from Android devices. A few days after teasing it with a graphic, Cyanogen co-founder and AllCast developer Koushik Dutta has posted a YouTube video which appears to demonstrate that he has achieved full mirroring of an Android phone to a TV via Chromecast …

He has also confirmed that he hopes to add the functionality to the AllCast app.

Dutta had previously suggested that the functionality might be coming to Android officially. It’s possible that rights issues – where content is licensed for mobile devices only – might be the roadblock to official Android support, but it would appear we may not have long to wait before you at least do it via a third-party app.
