New Mi TV ‘croods’ spotted on Google Play Console

A new Xiaomi Mi TV with the codename ‘croods’ has appeared on Google Play Console listing with key specifications. The listing revealed the chipset, RAM, screen resolution, and operating system of the new television.

The new Mi TV from Xiaomi gets its name from the 2013 animated movie ‘croods.’ Not only this, two more new Mi TVs are seen in the list of Google Play Console with names ‘amelie’ and ‘dangal.’ These are again the names of popular movies.

The new Mi TV will power a MediaTek T31 chipset that contains four ARM Cortex A-55 cores. It will run on Android 10 OS, has 2GB RAM, and an ARM Mali G52 GPU graphics. The TV supports an FHD (1920×1080) resolution with a screen density of 320dpi. The TV is supposed to be a budget model. It will pack a 55-inch 4K panel with Dolby Vision. It has an aluminium alloy frame and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. The price set for the TV is Rs. 54,999.

The TV will incorporate features like Google Assistant, leading streaming apps, Chromecast built-in, et cetera as it is listed as an Android TV. However, there is no official announcement regarding its launch or anything like it.

But as far as it is known, Xiaomi has always been a brand that is known for its value for money products. So, this launch is also supposed to be a pocket-friendly deal in the market. The Xiaomi Mi TV Croods is expected to launch soon.
