Design

Chromecast has an oval design along with a compact remote control. Chromecast comes in three color options, i.e. Sky, a pinkish Sunrise hue, and Snow. Whereas the Firestick 4K Max has a rectangle-type design, on one side there is an HDMI connector. The firestick also has a remote control, but its bigger than Chrome. Talking about the Firestick 4K Max (2023), it is powered by a 2GHz Mediatek MT8696T, 2GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage.

Software

Chromecast runs on a Google TV interface based on Android 12. It shows the recommendations on the home page according to your use. You can also use Chromecast to control your smart home devices and Google Assistant.

Fire TV Stick 4K runs on Fire OS, which is based on Android 11. It has a huge homepage with recommendations, but Fire OS will show more content from the prime video.
