Chromecast with Google TV is receiving a small April update that brings fixes to several issues and lots of new features. It is a jump from the December security patch to the latest April 2021 security patch.

Google is rolling out an update for Chromecast with Google TV with version number QTS1.210311.005. The update comes along with the April security patch and still runs on Android 10.
The update brings new ‘Advanced Video Controls’ settings under the Display and Sound option. It provides granular control over HDR and color formats while the refresh rate and resolution are controlled from the Advanced menu. The users can now use HDMI-CEC to turn on/off their televisions.
The update brings improvements to the HDMI hotplug to help it detect the best display settings possible. It also enhances the 5GHz Wi-Fi and Mesh networks. It also fixes the issue of Bluetooth Audio stuttering for some apps.
The latest April security patch improves the Dolby Audio and 4K support for Atmos and Digital Plus content. It decreases the chances of occurrence of the Android recovery screen whenever the above options are used. The Voice Remote for the device also gets an update and jumps from version 24.5 to 24.7.
