EPIX launches its Premium TV app for Google Chromecast

EPIX the Premium entertainment network is launching its EPIX TV app on Google Chromecast, the latest step in its continued leadership in the expansion of TV Everywhere. EPIX was the first premium network to launch on XBOX 360, PlayStation, iOS, Android tablets, Windows 8.1, Roku players and now its the turn of Google Chromecast.

According to Epix, authenticated subscribers will have streaming access to more than 3,000 movies like The Hunger Games, James Bond, and Star Trek and original programming including The Road to the NHL Winter Classic & The Road To The NHL Stadium Series; Russell Brand: Messiah Complex; and Hollywood Sessions.

“The marrying of EPIX premium entertainment with Chromecast’s easy-to-use device offers a unique and unparalleled experience. With this partnership, we’re continuing to build on our momentum of delivering great programming how, when and where viewers want to see it,” Keary Hanan, EPIX SVP Digital Programming and Production.

How to start streaming with EPIX app

1. If you already don’t have it, download the newest EPIX app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install the app on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet.
2. Connect your phone or tablet to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast device.
3. Launch the EPIX app and tap the “Cast” button to connect your phone or device to the Chromecast and your TV set.
4. Select what you would like to watch. Tap the “Play” button.
5. If you are not already logged in to the EPIX app, select your TV provider and log in with your provider credentials or your Free Trial email and password.
6. Enjoy EPIX
