Onn streaming hardware has been quite popular since its inception with the Onn FHD Streaming Stick early last year. The Walmart-owned company added another FHD streaming stick late last year at the price of $15. Following the success of these two streaming devices based on Google TV, Onn seems to be preparing another streaming device, i.e., the Onn 4K Pro Streaming device. It has made an appearance on the Bluetooth SIG listing and would compete against the Chromecast, and other streaming devices on the market.
As per the listing details, the new Onn Streaming device will feature 4K support and will run on Google TV. Alike predecessors, the new stick will debut with a remote control. Moreover, there will be a slight increase in the price considering the 4K support, and the expected hardware upgrade. The device runs Bluetooth 5.2.
Previous Onn streaming sticks debuted with similar hardware as present on the Chromecast with Google TV devices. The incoming device shall also feature similar or upgraded hardware to the Chromecast.
Any other specifications or feature details about the device are not available yet. We hope the device will surface on FCC or other public certifications, so we will fetch more details. It is expected to launch in the coming couple of months.
On the other hand, Google also seems to be working on a new Chromecast streaming device, if we consider recent leaks and its remote listening in the Android 14 manual.
