After making a public appearance on different retailers including AliExpress and Gearbest, EEC certified, the Mi TV stick is listed on FCC. The streaming device carries FCC ID 2AIMRMITVMDZ24AA and bear model number MITVMDZ24AA. A small image of the device also appeared on the FCC confirming the already present renderers and images of the TV Stick.
The latest listing also confirms the specification that has already leaked via listing on Gearbest and AliExpress. It uses a 5VDC/1000mA power supply and supports dual-band WiFi supporting 2.4GHz and 5.0 5GHz frequency.
It appears the Mi TV Stick launch is nearing. However, the recent listings report that the Mi TV Stick is coming two different variants supporting FUll HD and 4K resolution.
The smaller version with Full HD resolution support features 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. While the 4K version houses a 2GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. Both the variants hosts an Amlogic S905Y2 quad-core device featuring a Cortex-A53 processor and Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, Bluetooth 4.2 with support for Google Assistant is available.
Its box carries a power adapter, a USB cable, the Bluetooth remote, and the TV stick.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will compete against the Amazon Fire TV stick and Google Chromecast. Moreover, next-gen Chromecast is slated for launch tomorrow at Google’s Smart Home event.
