Here’s the second consecutive update of the year for the Chromecast with Google TV 4K. As per the recent reports, the new update brings the January 2023 Security Patch and even optimizes the overall performance.

The firmware STTE.221215.004.A1 is rolling out to the Chromecast with Google TV 4K streaming device. It even fixes some bugs. The update weighs 152MB in size, and we suspect the update would bring some other unlisted changes to the device.
However, the picture will clear once the update gets available to a broader audience. There’s also a Chromecast Remote firmware update that is being rolled out just after the primary update on the CCWGTV.
