Chromecast with Google TV 4K gets Fast pair support in the latest Update

Google is rolling out an update with much awaited features that include Fast Pair and an Audio output switcher. The update changes the firmware version of Chromecast with Google TV 4K to STTE.231215.005. Along with other features, the update also packed with a January 2024 Android security patch.

Fast Pair for Chromecast

In the last update, Chromecast with Google TV got the October 2023 Android security patch in December 2023. Now Talking about Fast Pair, its a feature with which you can quickly connect your headphones. When you open your Pixel Buds Pro case, a notification will pop up on the Chromecast to connect in Quick Settings.

Chromecast with Google TV 4K gets Fast pair support in the latest Update

Once you connect your headphone to Chromecast with Google TV, you will also see an Audio-out switch. It will give you an option to select between the TV speaker, headphones, and other available devices.

You can always check for updates by following the steps below.

  1. Launch Chromecast with Google TV.
  2. Click the profile image in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Settings > System > About > System Update.
