Chromecast with Google TV (HD) gets listed on Google Support Update board

Chromecast with Google TV (HD) has launched, after being spotted at various third-party retailers, leaks and certifications. Today, the device has also been listed on the official Chromecast Firmware updates page. The new listing confirms the Build number STTF.220621.013.

The new variant of Chromecast with Google TV comes with 1080p content streaming support. It is priced at $29.99 and is available in Snow White Color. The new Chromecast with Google TV (HD) features a similar design to that of Chromecast 4K. The device measures 6.4″x2.4″x0.5″ and weighs 1.9 oz. It supports HDR, HDR10+ and HLG video formats.

Users from over 19 countries can buy the new Chromecast HD by heading to the Official Google Store and Best Buy.

However, the leaks further suggest that it will house Amlogic’s S805X2 CPU with AV1 decoding and 1.5GB RAM. It has already been listed on some European retailers carrying a price tag of €44.99 along with some revelations about some inbox content details. The box will include a Voice remote featuring dedicated shortcut keys to Netflix and YouTube.Further, it will include two AAA batteries, a power brick, and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
