Google starts rolling out Chromecast with Google TV update. The company has become very punctual with updates to its streaming stick over the past few months. In this update, the April 2024 security patch is rolling out to Chromecast with Google TV with the firmware version STTE.240315.002.
The update weighs about 134MB in size, which is larger than the previous update. The Chromecast update includes security patch along with some general bug fixes. There is also an update for voice remote with firmware version 26.7. However, the full changelog of the update is not yet available. If you did not get the update yet don’t panic and check it manually by following the steps below.
- Launch Chromecast with Google TV.
- Click the profile image in the top-right corner
- Go to Settings > System > About > System Update.
