Google Pixel 6a finally gets the September 2022 Security Update

Google finally starts rolling out September 2022 security patch on Pixel 6a. The September 2022 Android Security Patch was already rolled out on Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel 5a, Pixel 5, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 4a, and Pixel 4 XL. Now, finally Google releases the update to pixel 6a with firmware version TP1A.220905.004.

The update is packed with Live Translate feature with the ability to translate face-to-face conversations and even translate signs with the camera. It will also include the fix to fingerprint scanner issue and there are improvements in battery also.

The September 2022 update includes bug fixes and improvements for Pixel users – see below for details.
Battery & Charging
  • Fix for issue occasionally causing increased battery drain from certain launcher background activities
Biometrics
  • Additional improvements for fingerprint recognition and response in certain conditions.
Bluetooth
  • Fix for issue occasionally preventing certain Bluetooth devices or accessories from connecting
User Interface
  • Fix for issue occasionally causing notifications to appear truncated on the lock screen
