Just a few days ago, we brought you the news that Google’s new Android TV dongle ‘Sabrina’ with Remote Control was leaked via a marketing video. Also, a month earlier, we reported that a new Android TV dongle from Google had passed the NCC certification in Taiwan. Now, we have come across the leaked specs of Google’s upcoming Android TV dongle. It is highly anticipated that Google will be releasing its new Android TV stick sometime later this year.
According to the source, Sabrina will arrive with 2GB RAM and powered by Amlogic’s S905X2 12nm chipset. It supports 4K decoding with an output of 4Kp60 over HDMI 2.1 and also supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. The device is said to have four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and Arm’s Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Alongside this, it will pack Broadcom’s BCM43569 Bluetooth + Wi-Fi chip and will have a built-in Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM).
ALLM is a feature that allows the TV stick to automatically toggle on Game Mode on supported TVs that will reduce latency when playing games. This makes us believe that Sabrina will support Google’s game streaming service, Stadia.
The previous leak indicated that Sabrina will be released in three color variants, Black, White, and Pink. The leak also revealed that the remote will have a Home, Google Assistant, and dedicated buttons for online streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
While the device is not expected to release anytime soon, we are committed to bringing you any further information that turns out to be convincing. Stay connected to be informed!
