Google announced its Fast Pair feature for Google TV (Android TV) at CES 2024. Google’s Fast Pair feature, which is used to quickly connect headphones and earbuds across Android devices, Chrome OS, and Google TV with an onscreen pop-up, avoids manual pairing every time. You can also switch your headphones quickly between different devices. Google Fast Pair Service uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to discover Bluetooth devices nearby.

Google Fast Pair Features
- Instant One-Tap Pairing: It eliminates the manual pairing process of a Bluetooth device. When compatible headphones or earbuds in pairing mode come near Google TV, you will see a pop-up on the screen on which you just have to click on Connect Now to pair.
- Personalized Name with Device: You can now have custom names for your device to identify it quickly.
- Syncs with Your Google Account: Once you connect your headphones or earbuds, whenever you turn on these devices near Google TV, you get a notification to connect instantly. In this feature you will not need to bring the headphones into pairing mode.
- Automatic Audio Switching: It intelligently switches the audio source between your connected devices. For example, if you are watching a video on your tablet, the audio can automatically switch to your phone when you receive an incoming call.

It is a very useful feature for users; it reduces the wastage of time. But the Fast Pair feature is only available to limited devices as of now. We have listed Google TV-based streaming devices with the Fast Pair feature.
