Swisscom New TV-Box 5 (IP 2300) will run Android TV Platform

Swisscom, Switzerland’s telecom provider will bring its new TV Box powered by the Android TV platform. Earlier the company has used AOSP Android in their TV boxes for the past 10 years. Its important to tell you that Swisscom holds the 37% market share of TV services in the country.

Moreover, Swisscom also holds 56% of the total mobile subscribers and it holds 50% of the broadband users. According to a Twitter user, the new TV-Box is powered with Synaptics VS640 soc. The processor includes the 4 ARM Cortex-A55(2000Mhz) cores, Swisscom Box 23 is paired with 1.8 GB of RAM.

Recently, the New Swisscom TV Box is spotted on the Android Benchmark website with a 1896 score.

In some recent news, there is a lot of buzz about a new Chromecast with new processor i.e. Amlogic S805X2 SoC. There might be some changes on the remote that include more circular single buttons, two double buttons, and a new start button. The new star button can be used as a customized button through which you can select your favorite app to open.
