With hype regarding it doesn’t seem like scaling down, the elusive Google Pixel Watch have again hit the news. In a recent development, the Pixel watch models have passed the Bluetooth SIG certification.
The Bluetooth certification of approval has revealed three models of Pixel watch. These are GWT9R, GBZ4S, and GQF4C. It is unclear whether it will be one smartwatch with three variants or three separate wearables.
Expect Google to launch or at least give any update regarding the Pixel watches in the upcoming 2022 Google I/O event.
While we are yet to have any official news of the Pixel Watch launch, leakers have time and again shared details of Pixel watch models. Popular tech leaker Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech had earlier shared a render of a Pixel watch model.
As per the render, the Pixel watches will have a bezel-less design. Expect an AMOLED display with a curved design accompanied by a crown on the right-hand side. The crown may provide haptic touch to perform certain tasks inspired by the Apple Watch.
A step counter and heart rate monitor were also spotted on the render which are staples of any smartwatch. If we consider the word on the street, the Pixel Watches may be powered by an Exynos chipset. The official Google smartwatch may also feature the Google Assistant.
A recent revamp of Google Store indicated that Google is prioritizing the development of its long speculated smartwatches. The Fitbit branding on the store is now replaced by the term Watches. Though it doesn’t signify that these wearables are going to drop anytime soon. So far there is no concrete info on the spec sheet, pricing, availability, or launch date of the Pixel watches.

While Google for a long time has provided its Wear OS for other smartwatch brands, the launch of exclusive Pixel watches will mark the official entry of Google into the domain of first-party smart wearables.
