  1. The update broke the connection with the remote. Haven’t figured out a solution yet. I can still use my phone as a remote.

  2. I left a comment yesterday and it has disappeared. No ide why and not email telling me it was not accepted.

Did the update and it broke my connection with the remote. Phone as remote still works. Last thing I saw on the screen was an option to choose between YouTube and YouTube TV for the YouTube button on the remote. I didn’t do anything at that point and just shut it off, but the TV kept coming back on with that screen. Finally shut off the TV with my TV remote.

    • You can reset Remote and Repair, here’s our guide https://googlechromecast.com/how-to-pair-chromecast-remote/

    • And that fixed it. Don’t know why or how the old one broke, but it did happen after the Chromecast update. Oh well, all working now.

      • Yeah man its frustating experiance when these things happen, We can’t say whats the exact problem. Its nice to hear from you that your chromecast is working now, Enjoy!.
