Nokia Streaming Stick 800 launched, starts retailing

Nokia Streaming Stick 800 is now available on an online e-commerce portal in the European market. Out-of-the-box, the streaming device from Nokia comes with Android TV 11 OS. The viewers can choose from over 500,000 TV series and movies across popular platforms like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, and Amazon prime Video. In a bid to give competition to Chromecast, Realme TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Stick, Nokia is here with a new Streaming Stick 800.

Nokia streaming stick 800 supports viewing the content in 1080p resolution starting from 480p. The streaming stick also comes with AV1 codec support and a built-in Chromecast. With Chromecast, audiences can stream content from their smartphones on big screens like TVs.

The Nokia streaming Stick 800 offers Google Assistant voice control in certain regions. With the virtual assistant, you can stream any content from OTT platforms with a single voice command. Like other Android TVs, the Nokia streaming stick 800 also packs the Google Play Store app in its preset app bundle. Through Play Store, grab any streaming app of your choice from the Play Store.

Priced at 61 euros on the e-commerce platform where it was spotted, the streaming box from Nokia has an Amlogic S805X2 chip at its heart. Chinese manufacturer SEI Robotics is the maker of the Nokia Streaming Stick 800. If you are based in Europe, you can purchase the streaming box from a Europe-based e-retailer.
