Xiaomi Mi TV Stick (MDZ-24-AA) gets EEC certification, launch imminent

Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its streaming stick i.e. Mi TV Stick. Today, Xiaomi Mi TV Stick with model number MDZ-24-AA passed through the EEC certification. Recently, the Mi TV Stick was spotted at various online retailers like Gearbest and Aliexpress. A few days back the streaming stick also received the EU certification and BIS certification.

According to the previous leaks, Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will be powered by the Amlogic S905 Y2 quad-core CPU running on A53 architecture and Mali G31 Mp2 GPU. The model listed has a 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and 8GB of eMMC storage. However, there is no information on other storage variants. The device will run on Android 9 Pie OS.

Mi TV Stick has a WiFi AC Dual-band, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI 2.0 port and it also packs USB Type-C port. The new streaming stick is expected to come with a Bluetooth remote control that has a microphone for Google Assistant. Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is packed with Dolby Stereo Sound for a 3D cinematic effect. The Mi TV Stick will also support 4K at 60fps and HDR playback for a lifelike visual experience.

Talking about the price, there is no official information yet. But according to some online retailers, the new streaming dongle will be priced around $80.
