YouTube Music Glitch Inflates Top Listener Badges

In an unexpected twist, YouTube Music users are now witnessing their existing “badges” double, rather than receiving their anticipated December Top Listener badge that was promised in October’s announcement.

YouTube Music Top Listener Badge Glitch

What Are YouTube Music Badges?

YouTube Music rewards you with badges for being among the top listeners of your favourite artists or bands each month, revealing just how high you rank in the listener spectrum.

Unlock the excitement by launching YouTube Music on your Android or iOS, then tap your profile avatar in the upper-right corner to discover the hidden gem of “Badges,” and don’t miss the chance to save a stunning portrait graphic by selecting a card, tapping Share, and choosing Save image.

Unexpected YouTube Music Badge Glitch

Instead of the fresh Top Listener badges for December that usually pop up within the first few days of the new month, users have been greeted with the same November badges, complete with identical background colours and dates.

It’s evident that a glitch has occurred, and one can only hope YouTube will rectify it by rolling out the rightful Top Listener badges for December, as users have responded positively to this exciting feature.

In addition to music, you can earn badges by being an early subscriber to a creator’s channel, nailing quizzes, or having your comment liked by the creator, all accessible through the main YouTube app.
