Chromecast HD allegedly runs on Google TV 12, 1.5 GB RAM, and Amlogic S805X2 Soc

Google’s new Chromecast HD again in news. This time a developer on twitter claims to obtain the new Chromecast HD software build. Which reveals many details about the new device. The software build confirms the the name i.e. “Chromecast HD” (may get changed at the official launch), it is powered by a Amlogic S805X2 SoC with support for AV1 decoding and 1.5 GB RAM.

According to Kuba Wojciechowski disclosed that the new Chromecast HD will run on Google TV based on Android 12. Its important to tell you that the Chromecast with Google TV 4K variant is still runs on Android 10 based Google TV. The new Chromecast HD already passed through FCC, Brazil’s wireless regulation authority, and Bluetooth SIG

According to the listings on all the certification websites, Chromecast HD will stream up to 1080p resolution with 60Hz refresh rate. It is packed with WLAN functions 802.11 ac, VHT20/VHT40/VHT80 and modulation 802.11a/n : OFDM (BPSK 1 QPSK/ 16QAM / 64QAM). Moreover, it packs with Bluetooth 5.2 chip. 

A couple of days back there are some reports related to the price of new Chromecast HD. It is said that the of price of new Chromecast HD €39.99 in Europe and in the US it might be priced at $30 (approx).
