Spotify won’t Support Google Cast

Earlier this month Google has announced Google cast support for the music systems. But Spotify will not be supporting Google Cast for playback on home speakers, according to the Reports.

Spotify will be focusing on their own “Spotify Connect” service. They feel that by owing the technology from end-to-end they can make sure to deliver a quality experience to users. Spotify already has a large collection of supported devices. Although the good news is that a lot of Spotify Connect devices will also work with Google Cast.

Many speakers are being launched with both Spotify Connect and Google Cast support, such as devices announced at CES by LG. This will continue it seems as we already have an experience that is optimised for ease-of-use and audio quality, we have no news to share on other integrations or partnerships at this time.
